Mary Mauro M.A., CCC-SLP owns and operates Mauro Speech Services, LLC. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University in 2015 and has clinical experience working in pediatric hospitals, private practice clinics, and in-home settings.
She worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist Specialist at the Children's Hospital of Michigan for 6 years, where in addition to evaluating and treating children's speech and language impairments, she served on the Autism Team, Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Team and Tongue Tie Team. Mary also has experience as a Clinical Instructor at Wayne State University's Speech and Language Clinic. With over 9 years of experience, Mary is passionate about providing evidence-based, fun, individualized, and child-led services, giving children the tools they need to become successful communicators.
Mary is certified with the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds State of Michigan licensure. She has advanced training in Autism, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders.
In her free time, Mary enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with her husband and two sons.
